KIRRAretail (Kr)

KIRRAretail (Kr) among other responsibilities, provides sales and marketing functions to the Kirra community to ensure an ongoing financial viability and external community engagement. Working to sell the products of the KIRRAmaker (Km) space, KIRRAkitchen (Kk) and KIRRAag (Ka) to name but a few, this committee also determines which local and regional events to sponsor, fund or participate in, either as the Kirra brand or to assist individual community members. An example of this is the Ka participation in the Tara Community Garden run with love by Pip and Tracey from Tara Spa Apartments right here in Tara, Queensland. Ka has started to provide young seedlings to this project for the betterment of the local Tara people. We are hoping to do a lot more with these people, as they hold true community as a value in their hearts.

Kr has the budget to assist in promoting the Kirra Community in any way that is considered good for the Kirra Community and the local community.

Kr will establish relationships with providers of monthly farmers markets allowing the community members to create and sell their products and produce at these markets. Kr will also provide a marketing base for internal Community Member events, including retreats and other events, which can be ad-hoc or regular events. Kr will assist and work with Community Members to ensure that services and facilities are provisioned to meet the needs of the event and fast-track any issues that may arise with other Kirra divisions. Essentially acting as an advocacy for Kirra Community Members.

Other key areas of responsibility includes:

• Marketing & Sales services for other Kirra divisions and Individual Community Members;

• Managing the Hip Camp and Air B&B rentals, and service provision;

• Assisting Community Members to sell their goods and services both internally to other Community Members and to the greater local and regional community;

• Working with  all Kirra divisions to ensure that financial goals are met;

• Identifying new opportunities to participate at a community level within the local and regional greater community;

• Resource Allocation for Rental and Community Events;

• KIRRAstore - Running our local community store and Farm Gate operations;

• KIRRAcar - In conjunction with KIRRAcivic (Kc) and KIRRAutility (Ku) running the community car pool feature for the Community Members;

  • 1-Tonne Mitsubishi Triton Utility - with high sided hydraulic tipping tray - 2 People and 1 Tonne of stuff in the tray - Automatic Transmission.

  • Subaru Liberty Station Wagon - 4 People, and some stuff in the back - Automatic Transmission.

  • A tilt Car Trailer with an electric winch in excess of 6 metres long, with an ATM of 3.5 Tonnes.

  • A small tilt Box Trailer.
